Using these reading notes

Read Iowa provides general educational articles and illustrative practice activities. You may read, link to and print a reasonable number of pages for your own study or a small learning session. Do not republish the site as your own work or sell copies of its articles.

Limits of the material

Exercises are examples, not assessments of a person's ability. The calculators show arithmetic under the assumptions stated next to them. They do not calculate a legal wage entitlement, diagnose a condition, award a credential or make a financial recommendation. Check decisions with the responsible service when accuracy has practical consequences.
